How We Operate

Established in 2003, we are an independent environmental organisation registered with the Australian Government

Our Board of Directors includes founding partner representatives and senior water experts from Australia, Britain, Canada and the USA. Founding partners include the Queensland Government, Brisbane City Council, BMA BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance and Thiess.

Building on the support of our founding partners we have established an endowment fund with the aim of reaching A$30 million by the end of 2015. These funds will ensure that International Riversymposium and Riverprize are supported and delivered in perpetuity. Our endowment fund is managed by The Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), one of Australia’s leading fund managers.
